Role Description

The Risk Analyst is required to support the development of the Global Risk & Control Framework (GRCF), allocated clients and Risk and Compliance Management Team as directed.

 

To participate in the development of FNZ’s GRCF.  This includes but is not limited to:

  • Risk Assessment
  • Risk & Control Self-Assessment
  • Risk Event (including Breaches) reporting, and associated management of Action Plans
  • FNZ Global Policies
  • Continuity of Business
  • Risk Management Information
  • Training

 

To act as the primary Risk & Compliance contact in respect of specific Platform Clients.

 

To promote a positive risk aware culture, and ensure that the reputation of the Risk Team is maintained to a high standard.

 

To support the Risk & Compliance Management team as directed.

 

 

Specific role responsibilities:

 

 

Internal

  • Developing and embedding core elements of the Group Risk & Control Framework (GRCF) by applying SME knowledge and experience.
  • Deliver quality analysis, information and commentary from across the GRCF into governance and other reporting forums.
  • Risk Event Lifecycle management – work across the business to ensure appropriate 2nd line oversight of the timely and accurate escalation, recording and reporting of Risk Events.
  • Action Plans – assist in driving quality action plans, including appropriate ownership, oversight and escalation to ensure completion on schedule thereby mitigating FNZ risk exposure.
  • RCSA – oversight, advice and management of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment process.
  • Reporting and MI – deliver quality risk information to all levels of the business – from ops team through to the Board – with effective challenge and analysis evident.
  • Training & Awareness – develop training content and assist in delivering formal and ad hoc training and guidance to all levels as required.
  • Other areas of the Group Risk & Control Framework as required – e.g. business continuity, policies and standards.

External

  • Ongoing risk related reporting to your clients within agreed timeframes and to a high standard.
  • Formal relationship management – work with peers in the clients and appropriate second line risk teams on a proactive basis.
  • JRCC – contracted Joint Risk & Compliance Committees. Produce formal reporting and attend monthly meetings to support Senior Management with Governance & Risk.  A key role in FNZs relationship with our clients.

Development

  • Identify improvements to the Group Risk & Control Framework. Take accountability to see those ideas through to delivery and demonstrate benefits.
  • Maintain personal subject matter expertise in risk management through training, professional CPD and qualifications as appropriate

 

  • This role is in scope for activities which have a direct impact on CASS processing which takes place within FNZ for FNZ and/or FNZ’s clients. This role has a requirement to remain up to date with CASS developments and changes as communicated with FNZ

 

 

Experience Required

  • Knowledge of the UK financial services and regulatory framework including the CASS Sourcebook
  • Ability to communicate effectively at a variety of levels within a regulated environment, both internally and externally, written and verbally.
  • Numerate
  • Experience in risk management and control
