Role Description

Responsible for Oversight of the entire Corporate Action Lifecycle from identification, data gather, allocation and updating of all Corporate Actions on the Wrap Platform across a broad range of investments.


Specific Responsibilites


  • Subject Matter Expert; Be a process expert within the team, deal with complex issues and deliver resolution; provide support to the Operations Department and the business as a whole based on technical knowledge of team and role.
  • CHANGE; Drive the delivery, testing and implementation of any change into the team, documenting any procedural changes to support change.
  • QA & MI; Support manager in reviewing work and production of MI to demonstrate effectiveness of controls within team
  • DOCUMENTATION; Review project documentation to assess impact to team, Review procedures periodically to ensure completeness and accuracy to current process.
  • BAU SUPPORT; Support the BAU function with deliverables as and when required, ensure knowledge of process is maintained by performing BAU tasks regularly
  • PROCESS IMPROVEMENT; Drive forward ideas from the team to improve the existing operating process
  • DEVELOPMENT; Keep up to date with market changes and developments that impact the team, have a sound overall awareness of the teams functions
  • TECHNICAL; Have technical understanding of platform functionality and operation, end to end view of the process and platform for team


Team Responsibilites


  • Work closely with Third Party Custodians and Date Vendors to identify all relevant Corporate Actions timely.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of a Corporate Action from initial notification to file closure, investigating and resolving all issues as they arise.
  • Reconcile and pay all income received to client accounts within required regulatory and client-driven timeframes.
  • Manage all open events for a particular wrap provider.
  • Work with External Fund Managers to process all fund closures, mergers and share class conversions.
  • Work closely with Business Risk Champions and Senior Officers to identify, manage and mitigate operational risk.
  • Work with Asset and Cash Reconciliation teams to ensure any cash / asset breaks created as a result of a Corporate Action are matched and closed down within agreed timeframes.
  • Liaise with other departments in order to complete tasks and resolve any issues
  • Review and enhance operational processes on a regular basis.
  • Interact with key clients on a weekly basis.
  • Actively work to reduce the number of outstanding client queries and issues.
  • Audit of daily postings for data integrity
  • Answer any ongoing or daily queries from clients

Experience Required

  • Qualifications: FS Industry recognised qualifications- IOC , Investment Certificate or CFA or working towards.
  • Experience: 2 plus years in a similar role, evidence of experience managing all stages of a corporate action.
  • Knowledge of equity markets and familiarity with CREST is essential.
