Role Description

To be the subject matter expert in the end to end administratively complex areas of administering pension plans.

 

The role holder will work with the Pension Administration Programme Director, Operational Readiness Leads, Operational teams, Solution Consultancy/Analyst teams, Technical Architecture, Infrastructure and Risk & Compliance Team to drive the definition of the key process changes and enhancements required to underpin FNZ’s Pension Administration service across current, in flight and future clients in all the more technically complex activities required to deliver a market leading service. 

 

This role will require extensive internal and client facing engagement that demonstrates comprehensive understanding of the details and practical ways to meet the FNZ and customer expectations of optimal scalability in all processes.

 

Experience Required

Must have practical experience of all aspects to administering pension plans from the detailed processing activities for dealing with the less frequent areas of pension administration including Small Pot payments, Death claims, Ill Health,   and all aspects of transfers including cash/in specie Drawdown transfers in/out through to the Regulatory Reporting required on the part of the administrator.

 

Extensive current market knowledge of technology based solutions to drive efficiency in end to end processing such as:

  1. Integration with likes of Origo/Altus for transfer processing;
  2. Online Services options, integrations for HMRC/TPR etc including (but not limited to):
    1. PRAS reclaim processing
    2. Event Reporting
    3. Accounting for tax
    4. Pension Scheme return
    5. TPR reporting
    6. General:
  • Proven track record of a successful and sustained experience within a Life and Pension Investment Administration Department. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and negotiate with people at all levels both internally & externally.
  • Strong communication skills, being able to motivate, & encourage team members, as well as being able to deliver both encouraging & difficult messages.
  • Experience of design and production of Management Information reports, including strong written communication skills to provide appropriate commentary for internal and external customer management and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including management and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, having the ability to analyse issues, present solutions & resolve problems.
  • Strong time management skills, ensuring service levels are met and also having the ability to reprioritise both individual and the team’s deliverables and workloads at short notice.
  • IPM, IOC or PFS qualified, or working towards.
  • PC literate, with a minimum of intermediate level of excel skills (complex formulae).
  • Experienced in delivering change.
