  • Role Description

    To ensure that code is released to wrap environments in a timely manner, and source control maintained.The role is part of the global Production Support and Infrastructure department and reports to the regional Head of Production Support.

    Deployment: all releases are successfully deployed into environments within the scheduled timeframe
    Release process management: release packages are automatically created and deployed in an accurate and consistent manner
    System Maintenance: manage the source control repositories and release systems
    Business Continuity: production releases are deployed to all production servers including the disaster recovery site; release systems are backed up
    Release Management: releases are performed according to the Release Management process.

    Team Lead: team lead a team of 4 to 6 releasers in Shanghai.
    Deployment: ensure that all scheduled and ad hoc releases of code are successfully carried out on time to specific environments including production
    Release process management: develop and configure the release system software and tools to improve efficiency and quality of the release process
    System Maintenance: ensure that maintenance is carried out across the release systems and source control repositories
    Business Continuity: ensure that the disaster recovery sites are kept up to date; assist Infrastructure in carrying out regular backups of all software and electronic data.
    Release Management: ensure that the Release Management process is adhered to during releases; provide recommendations on improvements for the process
    Training: To prepare and carry out IT training as necessary for company specific applications.
    CPD: To develop professional and technical knowledge and skills via networking, seminars and other forms of training in order to meet Continuing Professional Development requirements.
    Other tasks: To undertake any other projects/ tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the smooth operation of the company
    This role is not in scope for activities which have a direct or indirect impact on CASS processing which takes place within FNZ for FNZ and/or FNZ’s clients. There is a requirement to remain up to date with CASS developments and changes as communicated with FNZ.


    Experience Required

    • 3 years as a senior analyst, senior developer or as a team lead in a similar role
    • High attention to detail
    • Flexible approach in respect of non-standard hours to support releases
    • Confident, and able to take initiative given client– and delivery-focused environment
    • Independent, self-directed and delivery focused working style
    • Superior analytical thinking
    • Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills
    • Willing to work out with of normal office hours regularly.
    • Good team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients
    • Graduate – ideally min 2.1
    • Experience in a software development environment in any of the following; Testing, Release Management, Development or System Administration.
    • Experience of the following technologies would be highly beneficial: Nant (or Ant), C# (Any .net language would be useful) , CruiseControl, TeamCity, IIS ,SQL and SCM tools like AccuRev or ClearCase or Subversion
    • Experience of delivering strategic and tactical change in a software development domain.
