Role Description

The role of the R&D team at FNZ is to be the primary driver of product and technology innovation at FNZ, targeted at identifying new capability that will drive sales and profitability generation at FNZ.
The Senior R&D Analyst role is for all-rounders who work with both internal and external stakeholders in execution of their role. They have responsibility for ensuring R&D meet sales outcomes, including definition and gathering of requirements, communicating high level design, maintaining the highest standards of communication, and ensuring efficient transfer of information to the R&D team as well as engaging with the broader FNZ team to ensure FNZ strategic goals are met.
They have a key role to play in having a deep knowledge of client wants and needs, and an ability to translate that to the R&D team as well as input to the sales team. They are expected to be involved in demonstrations, and to be able to represent the views of both R&D and the broader FNZ team, and be able to provide direct customer feedback to all FNZ stakeholders.
They work closely with the FNZ sales team, and where necessary engage with FNZ stakeholders including business and technical architects, project managers and other members of the project team to support the delivery of the FNZ propositions.
A Senior R&D Analyst needs to maintain high credibility in product and market knowledge and to be able to lead all stakeholders to drive outcomes beneficial to R&D, Sales and FNZ, and to be able to provide input to future direction of the R&D team.
The Senior R&D Analyst needs to be able to cope with varying priorities, to provide input in managing those priorities, and to be able to support any technical task that has potential reputational impact to FNZ, in short to be part of an elite, go anywhere, do anything team. This role is the beating heart of product and technology innovation at FNZ.

Experience Required

Preferred Industry Knowledge
 General investment, banking, wealth, insurance, retirement and savings products
 Fintech investment and wealth management innovation
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
 Sound knowledge of the FNZ platform functionality (both front-end and technical) and business processes related to the functional area that the position is aligned to
 Bachelor and/or Masters degree in Business, Finance, Technology or related disciplines
 Experience in Finance, IT or project management desirable but not essential
 Confident, and able to take initiative given client– and delivery-focused environment
 Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style
 Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills
 Good team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients
 Highly developed written and oral communication skills
