  • Role Description

    Provide Pension Administration services to FNZ Clients, which can include Investment Trading transactions, General Servicing transactions, New Business transactions, Money In/Money transactions out transactions and other Support activities.  Provide specialist support to the Basingstoke Finance team, contributing to the improvement and maintenance of all regulated accounting activities and production of accounting MI by, providing a high level of technical support on more complex problems and provide training and coaching support.



    • Ensuring Controls around the Finance activity for the Phoenix and other Platforms as required.
    • Responsible for the production of all P/L and off balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and support to the Control & Oversight team Manager, business project and business development teams.
    • Provide support to the overall Control & Oversight Team as required.
    • Ensure consistently high levels of productivity and accuracy are achieved by team members, addressing under performance as appropriate.
    • Effective management of work queues and pipeline ensuring agreed service levels are met and where possible exceeded, with regular reporting of current position and escalation of any potential issues of meeting service standard to the Control and 0versight Manager.
    • Ensure all processes are fit for purpose with robust controls in place and compliant with all internal policy and external regulations. Escalate risks and issues to Head of Pension Admin and Head of Ops Risk co & QA.
    • Build trusted relationships with internal and external parties and take action to resolve any issues.
    • Identify opportunities for improvements to the systems and processes used to enhance customer service and reduce costs.
    • Fully participate in Internal/External Client meetings/Workshops and Audits as required.
    • Comply with the Training and development standards and requirements as outlined in FNZ's T&D Framework, including CPD.
    • Provide SIPP Administration Team cover as required for any SIPP Administration team to ensure FNZ client service agreements are delivered.

    Experience Required

    • Attained ‘A’ level/PQ Accountant/AAT Standard of qualification and experienced in management of a relevant customer orientated and control function.
    • Positive track record in the leadership and motivation of staff.
    • Experience in use of general ledgers, Finance tools (e.g. XL & Word) and online banking systems.
    • Experience and knowledge of policy/business product admin systems.
    • Flexible, Adaptable, Proactive, Strong Oral & Written skills, Proactive, Self-Starting and Multi-tasking.
