  • Role Description

    We are looking to recruit motivated self starters with impeccable communication skills to join our rapidly growing global FinTech business. You should have an interest in Financial Markets or may have studied a relevant discipline at University.

     

    FNZ Ltd is an asset custodian - this means we hold client assets in our names as nominee and are responsible for the administration of those assets. FNZ also administers a number of Foreign assets on behalf of our clients, and these assets are held with external custodians.

    We are looking for candidates for a range of different roles in our growing business - the role responsibilities can include:

    • Processing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions on Managed Funds, Equities and Fixed Interest products within Key Performance Indicator targets. The role will include the allocation of coupon and dividend income, maturities, fund closures, non-income corporate action events such as rights issues, takeovers, stock splits, conversions, share purchase plans, and IPO’s.
    • Daily reconciliation of stock breaks between FNZ internal holdings and sub‐custodian or agent holdings identifying any discrepancies. Instruments covered will primarily be equities, bonds, managed funds, and debentures.
    • Reconciliation of cash balances held on the platform to those held at the various banking institutions across all major currencies.
    • Administer Exchange Traded, Managed Fund and Term Deposit buy and sell orders received via the FNZ Trading Platform with various market counter-parties.
    • Process daily Transfer instructions, ensuring that all instructions are delivered in a timely manner. This includes transfer initiation, settlement, asset break investigations and enquiries.
    • Process cash payment requests, FX Trades and banking daily processing.
    • Working with FNZ Management and other team members and departments to enhance processes for the greater efficiencies and controls within the team. This includes keeping the teams procedures up to date and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Perform testing on Operational Functionality for production releases.

    Experience Required

    • 1st class honours degree, masters or equivalent qualification
    • Experience in Financial Operations is beneficial but not essential.
    • Microsoft Office Suite experience especially Excel 2003/2007 (Outlook, MSSQL 2003).
    • Excellent written and communication skills.
    • Problem solving and 'Outside the box' thinking.
    • Attitude to execute, deliver and succeed.
    • A willingness to learn new things quickly
    • Proven Time Management and Planning skills.
