  • Role Description

    o Manage team activities to ensure effective resource utilisation;
    o Perform line management duties, including setting of objectives and performance appraisals;
    o Review and monitor the skills within the team to ensure they meet the current requirements of the business, and implement strategies to meet future needs;
    o Lead and foster effective knowledge transfer within team;
    o Active participation in team and project leadership roles as required;
    o Participate in mentoring newer team members;
    o Advocate and owner of quality within analysis phase ;
    o Involvement in business analyst process improvements and strategy;
    o Provide status reporting to Project Delivery Manager.

    Requirements Analysis
    o Discuss, understand and document client and/or internal business requirements to ensure comprehensive capture of need;
    o Leadership in client engagement workshops to drive solutions forward;
    o Proactively steer clients to align with FNZ’s existing product and technological initiatives;
    o Document requirements in a structured and clear way that:

     Promotes the efficient communication of need to stakeholders;
     Delineates need by non-functional, functional, priority, stakeholder, relationship, data, validation and process;
     Normalised and assimilated so that they can be accurately sized and measured;
     Structured so that solutions can be considered.
    o Ensure documentation is clearly and efficiently stored;
    o Ensure any new business developments adhere to procedural, regulatory, compliance or security requirements;
    o Document requirements that allow accurate test plans to be created that ensure client acceptance of solutions;
    o Proactively manage changes to requirements to ensure all parties have a full understanding of the required changes and the system/process/project implications;

    o Perform Functional Reviews of all new build to ensure alignment of delivery to requirements.
     Collaboration / Communication
    o Communicate with other FNZ staff to discuss business issues of a wider and/or cross-divisional nature;
    o Collaborate with developers, system analysts and managers to design, document and present the proposition to the client/internal users;
    o Work with developers, system analysts and managers during the development phase to ensure business requirements are met according to design and that requirements and specification documents are kept up to date;
    o Proactively communicate with all parties to ensure they understand the current stage of development and any activities required to progress development.

     Implementation Services
    o Educate and prepare the client to understand what steps they need to take to accept the software;
    o Work with client IT or third parties to facilitate system integration activities, including interface connectivity, data mapping etc;
    o Work with clients to analyse data to facility migration activities or design reporting and output.
     Diagnostic Services
    o Triage and investigate system defects;
    o Investigate and conduct route-cause analysis.

    Experience Required

     Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience
     Experience in the Financial Services or IT industry is preferred
     Strong team leadership experience
     Confident, and able to take initiative given client- and delivery-focused environment
     Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style
     Superior analytical thinking
     Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills
     Excellent team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients
     Highly developed written and oral communication skills
     Willing to travel and relocate in line with business growth
     Flexibility to perform other peer/similar type roles as required to meet project objectives
     Intermediate computer skills essential
     Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic fast-paced industry
     Enjoy working as part of a high performance team
     Passionate about creating innovative solutions for customers
