  • Role Description

    This role will provide SME support within the Distributions Team which is responsible for the end to end identification, maintenance and processing of all Distributions across a diverse range of clients.

     

    Team Responsibilities

    • Work closely with Third Party Custodians to identify all relevant Distributions.
    • Reconcile and pay all income received to client accounts within required regulatory and client-driven timeframes.
    • Manage the entire lifecycle of a distribution from initial expectation to posting, investigating and resolving all issues as they arise.
    • Work with External Fund Managers to obtain distribution advice, tax vouchers and payment information.
    • Maintain multiple distribution schedules on daily basis.
    • Work with Asset and Cash reconciliation teams to ensure any cash / asset breaks are matched and closed down within agreed timeframes.
    •  Interact with key clients on a weekly basis.Actively work to reduce the number of outstanding client queries and issues.
    • Monitor client reports such as the HMRC ISA reports.
    • Audit of daily postings for data integrity.

    Role Responsibilities

    • SME; Be a process expert within the team, deal with complex issues and deliver resolution; provide support to Operations and the business as a whole based on technical knowledge of team.
    • Change; Deliver, test, implement and document any change into the team.
    • QA & MI; Support manager in reviewing work and production of MI to demonstrate effectiveness of controls within team.
    • Documentation; Review any project documentation to assess impact to team and review procedures periodically to ensure completeness and accuracy to current process.
    • BAU Support; Support the BAU function with deliverables ensure knowledge of process is maintained by performing BAU tasks regularly
    • Process Improvement; Drive forward ideas from the team to improve the existing operating process
    • Development; Keep up to date with market changes and developments that impact the team.
    • Technical; Have technical understanding of platform functionality and operation, end to end view of the process and platform for team.

    This role is in scope for activities which have an indirect impact on CASS processing which takes place within FNZ for FNZ and/or FNZ’s clients. This role has a requirement to remain up to date with CASS developments and changes as communicated with FNZ.

    Experience Required

    • Significant distributions and investment operations experience.
    • Good knowledge of UK markets, and some knowledge of European and Global markets.
    • Experience working with Pricing Vendors, Crest, Third Party Administrators or other similar types of Mutual Funds or Equity providers.
    • Experience of key custody systems e.g. Autorec, EMX is desirable.
    • Industry recognised qualifications- IOC, Investment Certificate or CFA is desirable.
