  • Role Description

    Must have a deep understanding of user-centered design (UCD) and strong analytical abilities. An understanding of technical limitations as well as business strategies and goals, backed by a knowledge of different technologies. Will be involved in every aspect of the project lifecycle including research, idea generation, user journey design, low-fidelity wireframes, through to final high-fidelity design and implementation. Work with UI designers, developers, solution consultants and key stakeholders from product conception through to delivery.

     

    Responsibilities 

    ·       Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

    ·       Facilitate the client’s product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.

    ·       Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.

    ·       Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.

    ·       Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.

    ·       Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.

    ·       Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

     

    Experience Required

    • Experience designing rich interactive experiences, particularly large and complex web applications.
    • Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
    • Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g. conducting usability studies, performing user research).
    • Mobile and tablet interaction design, including responsive design and gesture-based UIs.
    • Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, interface design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
    • Familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing for the web and web-based devices, including mobile/tablet interaction design, incorporating responsive design and gesture-based UIs.
