  • Role Description

    Working within our specialist internal Migrations team, the Data Migrations Analyst will be responsible for ensuring all required data is identified, appropriately transformed and accurately migrated from the source system(s) to the FNZ product suite. Data Migration Analysts will be aligned to a specific customer migration and will be expected to collaborate closely with their counterparts to ensure that the customer and internal outcomes are met to the highest standard.



    • Through liaison with client and internal stakeholders , identifies, documents and validates data migration scope, risks, constraints, dependencies and assumptions.
    • Identifies source data requirements.
    • Develop and maintain knowledge of target system ongoing project development with particular focus on the impact to current and future migration.
    • Identifies, documents and validates target data requirements.
    • Assesses source data quality including gap analysis and supporting clients with data cleansing activities.
    • Working closely with the client and the FNZ Business Readiness team to analyse and understand the asset migration requirements, defining a solution which meets all parties needs.
    • Defines business rules for handling source data.
    • Articulating the requirements of the target data architecture to define the data transformation requirements.
    • Maps source, staging and target data architectures to each other including rules and transformations.
    • Creation and maintenance of key migration artefacts: entity relationship diagrams (ERD), business rules and schema.
    • Support and monitoring during migration dress rehearsals.
    • Support and monitoring during production migrations.
    • Support and promote the ongoing design and improvement of data migration procedures and artefacts.
    • Educates and prepares customers (external and internal) on the core Migration process, FNZ functionality and business processes.
    • Promotes existing FNZ functionality, processes and 3rd party agreements wherever possible.
    • Ensures that any new business developments adhere to procedural and regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Proactively manages changes to requirements to ensure all parties have a full understanding of the required changes and the system/ process/ project implications.
    • Proactively communicates information on progress to the Lead Migration Analyst / Head of Migrations and via the relevant PM tools.
    • Works with developers, analysts, managers and clients to implement the end to end migration process, ensuring all agreed scope items are migrated from source to target in line with client and propositional requirements.
    • Provides post implementation support once the migration is complete to support both the project and service & support teams in issue identification and resolution.
    • Triages and investigates service log issues in both test and production, ensuring any issues are dealt with by the appropriate person or team.
    • Regularly interacts with the S&S, Business Readiness and Operations functions throughout the lifecycle and post-implementation.
    • This role is in scope for activities which have an indirect impact on CASS processing which takes place within FNZ for FNZ and/or FNZ’s clients. This role has a requirement to remain up to date with CASS developments and changes as communicated with FNZ.
